Description This unit is designed primarily for students who have completed JPN343 Semester in Japan and aims to build on language skills acquired during in-country study. It focuses on advanced reading and/or translation and other skills. Students will study some issues relevant to translation as well as doing practical work in reading, translation and other skills using a range of contemporary materials.
Contact time 2 to 3 hours per week or by negotiation.
Prerequisites JPN443 Semester in Japan. Permission to enrol may also be granted by the Unit Coordinator to background speakers of Japanese and, under certain circumstances, to other students.
