Clinical Practicum

Description The core of students' clinical training. Students engage in supervised, active patient care in the University's outpatient clinic. Participation in clinical rounds where special interest topics and cases will be discussed; these are designed to enhance critical thinking skills and facilitate the application of the concepts of best practice, while providing teaching opportunities. Students complete rotations in radiology, rehabilitation, physiological therapeutics and front desk management. In the latter part of the year students serve as mentors for fourth year students.
Contact time Clinic duties/clinical rounds/rotations: 20 hours per week; lectures: 1 hour; workshops: 1 hour.
Prerequisites Enrolment in BSc/BChiro and successful completion of years 1 to 4 and the Clinic Entrance Assessment.
