Description This unit is concerned with the conversion of energy between electrical and mechanical forms by way of magnetic fields. It covers transformers and electromechanical energy conversion devices such as synchronous, induction and DC machines.
Contact time Lectures: 3 hours per week; workshops: 1 hour per week; laboratories: 2 hours per week.
Prerequisites PEC152 Principles of Physics; MAS161 Calculus and Matrix Algebra; ENG243 Circuits and Systems II.
