| Description | In this unit students are exposed to a design task, specialised to each of the engineering disciplines. It is required to adopt a global approach to define a problem, develop a solution and present this in writing and verbally. Project work, sometimes team based, will involve a design task and the development of a solution to the problem. This may take the form of a corporate package, a mathematical formulation, a physical device or an analytical strategy of some kind. |

| Prerequisites | Completion of all required third year Engineering units. |
