| Description | This unit examines approaches to reducing energy consumption in residential and commercial buildings resulting from the design and use of the building and its energy services. The unit covers the principles of energy efficient building design as well as use and interpretation of energy and sustainability audits. Identification of options for reducing energy use through renovation and retrofitting as well as occupant behaviour are also covered. |
