Description The unit aims to train students in the latest methodological strategies to conduct applied research. It will facilitate students' ability to think about research questions, understand applied designs, manage relevant ethical issues, and communicate this through proposals relevant to ethics and scientific review committees. At its completion, students would be able to design and conduct research in applied settings; critically evaluate research publications and reports; understand the ethical issues in research; and appreciate how research informs the practice of psychology.
Contact time Seminars: 6 x 3 hours run in the first week of semester.
Prerequisites Enrolment in Master of Applied Psychology in Clinical Psychology or Master of Applied Psychology in Organisational Psychology or Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology or Doctor of Psychology in Organisational Psychology.
